Citrix Design System
We built a full-stack design system including UI kits (Figma) for designers, component libraries (React, High Charts, and others) for developers, and a detailed wiki for usage guidance and feedback. Given the breadth of the product portfolio, our system had to address multiple disparate use cases across a range of products. Our system was the result of a few years of effort.
Our Figma UI kit (codenamed Avocado) provided the tools for designers to provide consistent designs across the product experience.
Data Visualization Guidance
To provide consistent usage of data visualizations, we developed an interactive guide for selecting the best visualization for a data set type.
CASE STUDY: Contrast Security Design System
Codenamed Skeletor, we released the first design system for Contrast Security. The system included assets for UX designers (Figma UI kit), developers (React components), and the whole company (wiki). The new design system enabled effective migration from the Angular UI framework to React.
Under my leadership we exceeded our goal for completed components in the first year by 29%. Business impact included measurable results with users reporting improved experience.
At Dell EMC and Opentext we released multiple design systems and style guides focused on various SaaS products. While there were common elements across the systems, product use cases and UI libraries drove the need for separate, but related systems.
